Trails, Trials and a Trip

Well, I have been extremely tardy with my posting. I have been spending a lot of my time planning our vacation in September. I am looking so forward to being in Florida. I love the tropics and the beach. It would always be my first choice for a vacation. There is something about the ocean that is in my soul. If all goes as planned we will be staying here .While we are there we plan to visit here, here and yes I am going to ride this!
My husband is planning this part of our vacation as a kind of surprise. After the almost month of trials and afflictions the Lord is taking us through this time will be a much needed rest for us. I look forward to the memories we will make.

I have been running pain free even with increasing my mileage! I know it is that stretch that is doing it. At first it really hurt to do it but now it feels good when I stretch that area. I am so so thankful to be back in the grove. I even ran the hilly trails near our house Friday and Saturday without any flair-up. The trails near our home have a certain sacredness to them. I have poured out my heart to the Lord on these more rural trails. It's nice to be back on them. I am planning to increase my mileage but very gradually and am so thankful to be moving forward again in my running.

Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written,
“FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG;
WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED.”
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Good to hear from you, Terri! Love the title of your post and glad to hear that the stretch is helping you run pain free. Good verses from Romans-so thankful for the steadfast love of God!

I'm so thankful that your pain is gone and that stretch helped! I'm glad you are enjoying your longer runs,too! What a blessing!

Your trip sounds so fun! We will be in Destin during the early part of Sept...we go that time every year and love it. You will enjoy how quiet and non-crowded it is when you go. How fun that your husband is surprising you with that part of the trip. There are lots of fun things to do while there!

We are hoping to plan a Disney trip sometime...we were waiting until we had Lydia...but now that it may not happen, we may go ahead and try to plan a trip before Gracie leaves for college. Which only gives us about 1 1/2 years.

I'm glad your family is going to have such a wonderful vacation. I know you will make lots of memories. Thanks for sharing it with us so we can all be happy for you!

Glad you are running pain free again and being blessed by your running time.

Oh, that look like such a wonderful holiday, with lots of variety. We were in Orlando last year and I have to say I LOVED one particular thing in Aquatica (Seaworld's waterpark) - the Roa Rapids, you just put on a lifejacket and float around a "River" - we must have stayed in that one "ride" for about 2 hours, it was so relaxing!

I LOVE planning the holidays too, that's half the fun isn't it!
