King of the Mountain

Today begins the start of hill training! Yippee! can you hear my excitement. Be one with the goat-lol. My plan is to incorporate long hill repeats into my weekly runs once a week for 6 weeks. We will see how it goes of course. If you have a favorite hill workout I would love to hear about it. Also any advice on form, pace, etc...would be great. Have a happy week of running!

Hills sound great for any training plan!
We're doing hill repeats once a week, this week we have 4x1 mile repeats, I'm a little nervous. Last week's hills knocked me on my fanny but I know they are SOOO good for the legs!!
Keep us posted on this new adventure with hills!

Congrats on the half.
Hill training - Consistent hard pace going up, recover going down. Let you heart rate recover some before repeating. This is speedwork in disguise, and should feel like hard work. Give it time and you will love the results. 1/week should do. Start with 4X and increase by one every week.
